 Having served within the North Wales Fire Service for 31 yrs until his retirement in July 2007 Keith Morris has gained an unprecedented level of experience of all fire related issues and for the last 10 year served  as a Fire Safety Inspecting/Enforcement Officer 

His work involved continual liaison with agencies and built environment professionals in particular County Building Control, Approved Building Inspectors and Housing Enforcement Officers with his skills utilised on a regular basis to train and assist in the development of fire safety personnel within the department.

Keith Morris has benefited from numerous involvements in large-scale projects involving regular meetings and discussions in order to achieve acceptable fire safety solutions ranging from the conversion of small premises to flats, new build proposals consisting of multiple living units and large retail, factory and industrial units.

The latter period of his service involved the auditing of premises under the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 and assessment of the suitability and sufficiency of their respective Fire Risk Assessments with when necessary the subsequent issuing of relevant levels of remedial enforcement action. Premises audited included Multi Occupied Domestic Premises, Care Homes, and Industrial/Retail Units 

Keith Morris is regarded as being very proficient with his role with solid background knowledge of legislative principles and enforcement old and new.

Fire Safety Related Qualifications

  • Member of the Institute of Fire Prevention Officers having fulfilled the conditions of membership of the Institute required by the Executive Council and the Examination Board.
  • Fire Safety Related Qualifications Section Graduate of the Institute of Fire Engineers (Grad IFE)  
  • HNC in Fire Safety Studies awarded by the University of Central Lancashire.
  • NEBOSH National General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety.
  • Fire Safety Officers Modules A, B, C, D at the Fire Service College Morton-in-Marsh.
  • Fire Safety Inspecting Officers Certificate – Fire Service College Morton-in-Marsh.
